Edge of Aggression - Alliance - PVE - Uldaman
EoA is an all adult guild that focuses upon raiding. We maintain a small roster that has a very stable core group.

Current Roster / Community
At the time of this writing (patch 2.4) we have less then 40 raiders on our roster. 80% of the current roster has been here since T4 thru killing Illidan. Several members of the guild have been here since the days of T1.

We don't believe in an abundance of ranks. Everyone in the guild is a veteran, member or an initiate.

Initiates are not held back from loot distribution. We have very little turnover within the member ranks. After one year of raid time, you gain veteran status.

We do not use class officers. Sometimes, we ask somebody to do something to organize the class if needed. It's basically expected that you just do what needs to be done and take suggestions well. We see no need to screw up a guild's atmosphere with pointless titles.

PVP
While we are focused upon PvE, we often run premade battlegrounds or an occasional world pvp raid to break up the monotony.

EoA also has several members with full arena gear, and we would welcome raiders that are competent arena players.

History
We started on a Pvp server horde side, where our members had extensive pre-TBC raiding experience. Most of us at the time had been playing the same toons for 2 years and chose to switch to alliance pve prior to the expansion pack being released. We will continue the alliance faction thru WoTLK.

Raid Schedule
While we do play the game to raid, we are casual in that we ask for 2 raids per week to maintain membership. Weekday raids only last 3 hours (9-12 eastern), w/ a 4 hour raid (8-12) on Sundays. We respect your time out of game, no 5-6 hour raids here.

We do not raid on Friday and Saturday, but we often run premade battlegrounds for those interested.

The Perks
We take as much of ‘the grind’ of raiding out of the equation as possible.

Currently, the guild bank provides:
- Full repairs on learning nights.
- Flasks for learning nights via Marks (as available).
- Basic enchanting mats for T6 or higher upgrades.
- Epic gems, Hearts, Sunmotes, etc are all provided dkp free as supplies permit.

DKP
We use a zero sum dkp system that scales by item level (Blizz already assigned values to items, go figure). There are no bidding wars.

We do not award dkp for time in instance or for wiping, because we find that to cause dkp inflation while robbing the desire to complete a raid in a timely manner.

We also do not earn dkp for sharded gear, which tends to force progression.

Simply put, DKP is awarded by what the raid group spends.

Recruiting and Expectations
We never recruit w/o an interview on vent first. Pestering a member about your application will only result in more time before somebody contacts you.

Of course, we expect you to show up with food buffs, elixirs, scrolls, enchants, gems, etc. It is expected that you are also familiar with the strats AND have watched a movie (if available) for any of the new fights we are attempting.

Two raid nights a week @ 3 hours each w/ full repairs is easy mode, make it happen!

Patience! If you do not get a raid spot (especially on a learning night) just relax! We bend over backwards to rotate everybody who needs a drop from farm content while maintaining as much of the same group as possible during learning nights.

Gkicks happen. Nobody has the right to treat people badly or create drama. We keep the roster clean, and that helps promote a stable raiding environment. Check your ego at the door and be willing to take suggestions or sit if needed.

If you do not show up for raids you will be eventually be removed from the roster. This guild is built upon teamwork to complete PvE content. If you are not contributing to the team, you can either join the alt guild or find a new home.
